Love it, love it, love it!!!I held off getting a nonstick ovenliner due to horror stories I heard or read about how they would melt and burn.I can't speak to older liners, but I can say, with enthusiasm that this liner is great. It fits well in the bottom of my oven, has not yet burnt or melted, is easily removed for cleaning (unlike the cleaning the oven), has no odor, and is generally wonderfully fulfilling its duty.

I just purchased my second liner and wondered how I could have misunderstood its proper usage. I was all set to cut it to fit the bottom of my electric oven, but thought I had read something about being a certain distance from the heating element. I went on the chef's planet website for use instructions and read that YOUARE NOT EVEN SUPPOSED TO USE IT ON THE FLOOR OF ELECTRIC OVENS, which is what I had done the first time. YOU ARE SUPPOSED CUT IT TO FIT THE BOTTOM RACK OF THE ELECTRIC OVEN.How could I have been confused????? I went back online to see if there were conflicting instructions....did not find any.....but when looking at THE AD I had seen ON AMAZON.COM,I noticed it THE PHOTO of the product SHOWS THE LINER PLACED UNDER THE HEATING ELEMENT ON THE FLOOR OF THE OVEN, which conflicts with the written instructions. No wonder my first liner did not last long !!! I will FOLLOW THE WRITTEN ADVICE AND EXPECT BETTER RESULTS.

The online product description says it is suitable for gas and electric ovens, but on reading the instructions on the box, I learned that the liner cannot be placed on the bottom of a gas oven. Instead you must situate it on one of the wire shelves and cut it so that it doesn't block the bottom heat vents. Although it is not a major inconvenience to place it on the wire shelf, I can't just place it on the oven bottom and forget it, like I had expected. I don't know about you, but I move my shelves up/down to accommodate different size pans and sometimes only have room for the bottom shelf.
