After having a Tupperware pie mat for years, I finally had to invest in a new one because a friend melted it. I tried a fondant rolling mat, which was all i could find at the time and was sorely disappointed, as it was really thin and the edges always rolled up on me.Finally i found this one online and since then I've ordered a 2nd one. It's fantastic--easy to roll out and easy to clean and bc it's thick, the edge don't curl!

I purchased this mat because I have tiled counter tops, and rolling or kneading dough leaves the grout impossible to clean. This mat is extremely sturdy and much thicker than some of the other mats this size. It is thick enough to lay flat, but flexible enough to be rolled back into the tube for storage. I have no problem with the edges curling or needing to be weighed down. The mat does slip around, but if you wet the back of it evenly with a moist paper towel it stays right in place, even when vigorously kneading dough on it.I am extremely happy with this mat, it is going to be a life saver during the holiday baking season.

Product is a great value for the price. Used it for Thanksgiving pie baking and it was wonderful; pie crust dough didn't stick to it, the measurements were accurate, clean up and storage is really easy. It can't be put in the dishwasher but that's not a big deal to me. The best mat I've seen for the price.
